Be Joyful

Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice! Let your gentleness be known to all men. The Lord is at hand. Be anxious for nothing, but in EVERYTHING by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the PEACE OF GOD, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:4-7

These are verses I memorized years ago and they are written on my heart. There are times when I still need to remember not to be anxious, but I eventually listen to my heart saying these verses. I didn't really understand what the "peace of God" was until I experienced it. It's having peace inside you, even when you're going through heartbreaking situations and trials. It does "surpass ALL understanding" and you know it comes from GOD alone. Praise the Lord for His wonderful promises!

I love, love, love what I do. I am passionate about the things I create and the talents God has placed in me. I SO appreciate the time you take to look at my things and the comments you all leave me!

Blessings to you!

Snowman Waving Hello

Happy Wednesday!

This week I have another Christmas/Winter card for you using the Snow Kissed Collection from Heartfelt Creations! This time I'm using the other snowman image from the Frolicking Frosty Set. Last week I used the skating snowman, this week I'm using the waving snowman.

This little guy is so cute! I colored him and the ornaments with pencils and mineral spirits. The image was stamped twice so I could add a second snowman over the image to "pop" it over the first. There is a matching die for the snowman.

The snowflakes were stamped with Nautical Blue Ink and heat embossed with clear embossing powder. I also added a little color to some areas of the snowflakes using a Dove Blender Pen and the blue ink. These all have matching dies so you can easily cut them out and add to your card. I used foam tape to add them giving them a little depth.

Be sure to visit the Heartfelt Creations Blog to what the talented ladies have come up with for you!

I'm submitting this to the following challenge:

Owl Always Love You

He everyone!

Just wanted to show you a card I made for my Husband for our 21st Anniversary a couple of weeks ago. Pretty clean and simple, but I thought it came out cute!

I used the Sugar Hollow Cling Set for the owls and sentiment and then die cut a second owl image using the matching Sugar Hollow Tree Die. The images were colored with pencils and mineral spirits using paper stumps. The background is embossed with the Square Lattice Embossing Folder from Stampin Up. Complete instructions are below if you would like them!

Here is the card I made for Emma Lou's Birthday!

I used one of the older stamp sets, Sunflower Bouquet Stamp, from the Classic Sunflower Collection. I love this bucket of sunflowers and the gold and burgundy together! Great card for Autumn that will soon be upon us.

The image was colored with pencils and mineral spirits using paper stumps and I added Heart of Gold Prills to the flower centers. I also decorated the inside of the card, but neglected to take a picture before I mailed it to Emma Lou. Complete instructions for this are at the end of my post if you are interested.

Birthday Owl Swinging

Happy Wednesday!

It's time for a little inspiration with Heartfelt Creations!

This week I decided to use the Sugar Hollow Collection from a couple of months ago. I love these cute little owls!

The owl, swing and tree are all from the same set, Sugar Hollow Hangout. They all have matching dies to go with them which makes it fun piecing them together! I colored all the images with pencils and mineral spirits and used chalks for the owl belly and eyes.

The flowers are the Berry Blossoms from the Berry Cafe Collection. These also have a matching die so they are easy to cut out and shape. Not sure how realistic the flowers are with the tree, but I liked they way they looked together:)

The birthday sentiment is from the Sunrise Lily Flute Set. Three collections all in one card!

Here is a picture of the inside of the card. I used the little floral corner from the Berry Blossoms Set for this.
